INFERNO PROGRAM

(These teams will be comprised of players who desire to play a more competitive schedule.
Players must attend tryouts and be selected to these teams.
These teams are designed to play against other organized travel teams and B level and above tournaments.)
1. Any players currently registered with N.B.G.S.A and in good standing are eligible for the Inferno Program.
Players must register and play a complete regular season to maintain eligibility. Failure to do so will result in loss of
position on team.
2. Tournament Team selection will be done by a tryout process, after the league season is completed, with all players and
managers in the league being notified of the dates and times of said tryouts.
All remaining players who attended tryouts, but not taken to a team, are eligible to try out for the All-Star team.
Players selected to the Tournament Team will be notified by phone.
The selection of the team will go into effect in September of each season.
3. Tournament Team age divisions will follow USA Softball guidelines, numbers permitting.
A player will be eligible to play up if said player is determined to be able to play at that level.
4. Names for manager(s) of the Tournament Teams will be submitted on a volunteer basis to the Board of Directors for
consideration and managers will be notified of their acceptance by the Board of Directors prior to tryouts.
Managers and Head Coaches of the league have the 1
st
opportunity to volunteer for a Tournament Team manager
position.

    • Managers and Head Coaches of the league have the 1st opportunity to volunteer for a Tournament Team manager position.
  5. Participants will be responsible for the finances of the Tournament Team.
  • Upon notification of making the team, there is a $130 fee due within 30 days. This fee will help cover costs of uniforms, tournaments and winter workouts.  There will be additional fundraising/sponsorship opportunities available to cover the remainder of the finances needed for this type of team.
  • Failure to pay fees on a timely basis will result in loss of position on the Tournament Team.
  • Additional fees for uniforms and tournament costs will be applied after fundraising efforts has been completed.  Each player’s parents are responsible to cover any and all costs not covered by the groups fundraising efforts.
    • Fundraising is allowed under the NBGSA name but all monies MUST be processed thru the league and the Board of Directors will be notified of fundraising efforts.
    • Tournament Teams may host tournaments at the park to fundraise with the Board of Directors approving the chosen date.
    • Sponsorships may be secured, but cannot conflict with current League sponsorships. Any solicitation for sponsorships must be done in such a way to not create conflicts with current sponsor agreements with the League.
  1. League will provide payment for entry into one (1) away tournament per season, and entrance in our home tournament.
    • Payment will be made for the least expensive tournament per team.
    • Maximum League contribution for the away tournament will be $350.00 per team.
    • League will not pay for an away tournament if an All-Star team is formed in that particular age group.
    • Free entrance into our home tournament is guaranteed, regardless of any All-Star teams.
